Hi,

I have a 2nd hard disk that is in Dynamic volume. It was used to dump files while I was working, keeping my C: root (1st hard disk) clean of junk or temporary working files.

However, I bought a new PC recently with all new hardware. The C: hard disk was formatted, installed windows 7 pro 64bits and is all good. But the 2nd Hard disk that is in dynamic volume, when plugged in, my new PC doesn't recognize it. I have working files that I need to get them out. It says that Missing Operating System.

I tried to install windows on it, but it says that I can't since is dynamic volume. I can't delete or format it since I have files inside that I need them.

How can I get my data that is in the 2nd hard disk? Please.

Thank you and appreciated for any help.

Desperate and lost here...

It sounds like you are trying to boot your new PC from that old hard drive.
That will not work. Boot into Windows 7 Pro as normal, then read your old hard drive from within Windows 7 Pro.
