e-reader and pokemon sapphire

Is it possible to scan a pokemon with the e-reader device and then be
able to use the scanned pokemon in the sapphire game?

Nope. Scanning the dot codes on a single card just gives pokedex info on it
(which can't be put in the game), and scanning multiple cards in a set
unlocks minigames. The only interaction between the E-reader and R/S so far
has been the trainer E-cards and the Eon Ticket.
