OK, heres the problem! I've got a 'supposedly easy overclocking rig' but I'm only able to get it just over 2GHz

Please could somebody help me?

what kind of mobo is that i dont even think its compatible with that CPU?get a P35 mobo it will OC well.

that mobo is for all those old pentiums and the chipset is barely capable of having it on.

i know it says support it. but i dont think it will work in OC anyway since max support is 1066 and when it was first designed it wasnt designed for these high speed chip anyway. you need a new mobo definately!no doubt about it.

OK, thank-you, I do appreciate your help.

But, is there nothing more I can do with this current mobo to squeeze out some more MHz?

And what newer mobo would you suggest please?

You wont get much more out of a crappy motherboard like that. You will probably never get over 3.2 even though a few others have.

3.2 will be very capable on a P45 mbo like Asus P5Q pro.
