Hello,

I recently bought a Dell PowerEgde t610 server. I insterted just a standard 2.5 inch SATA hdd (HGST Travelstar 7K1000 HTS721010A9E630). But after a few minutes it gives this error:
e1810 hard drive 0 fault. Review & clear SEL. The operating system installed on it (ESXi 6) just boots fine and works.

I updated every firmware on my server. BIOS, RAID, IDRAC etc. But still gives this error. I even tried the dell nautilus firmware update utility. But that didn't help either. I know it is a not dell-certified hdd.

How can i solve this error? Can i disable it somewhere? Or just accept it and live with it.

Hopefully someone can help me.


 
The HDD was once part of a raid setup and still has this information stored on the HDD.

You need to go into the PERC configuration manager during post CTRL-R and clear the configuration, thus making the HDD non-raid.

You may lose the O/S !!
