Simple as the title suggests and my overall specs are: Asus B85M-G Motherboard, Rx 580 nitro+ 8Gb & 16Gb DDR-3 1600Mhz Ram. These processors are selling for the same price in my country, Pakistan.

Solution
The B85 chipset is lga1150 Haswell family. The E3-1290 v2 is lga1155 Ivy-Bridge family, so not compatible with your motherboard.

Only choice out of those 2 is the E3-1246 v3. The 'v2' is Ivy-Bridge for any of those cpus, the 'v3' is Haswell.

Differences, Haswell doesn't have as many issues with using NVMe drives as boot, Ivy-Bridge is all but impossible. Ivy doesn't have any power supply issues, Haswell requires a dc-dc design or disable c-states lower than C3.

Performance is equitable, clock speeds are negligible as is IPC differences.

Best bet is to pick the motherboard, weigh pro's cons etc as to headers, fitment, looks, ability, lifespan etc. Then the cpu choice is made for you.
