Hi,
I have an Intel S5000VCL Server Board and 2 x Xeon E5450 CPUs and I see these CPUs should be supported with a number of updates. I have 2 x Xeon E5160s working in it right now. I have updated the FW and BIOS using the tools provided by Intel. Is there anything else that needs to be done?

2. These processors have a Thermal Design Power of 80 watts
and 6. 45nm processors require BIOS version 84 or later and new product order codes
Does this mean I maybe might need a newer motherboard revision?
