E6300 life expectancy overclocked question.

Just a quick quesion.

Will my E6300 @ 3.1ghz @ 1.4v @ 39C Idle and 53C load, last at least 3 years?

that particular overclock should be fine.

overclock longevity is determined by a mixture of heat and voltage where you currently have it should be fine.

It should last a good 5 to 10 years even with an OC.

I'll agree. However, even with the CPU lasting 5+ years, don't expect the system as a whole to make it that long. I have found that the most likely weak link is your mobo (especially with budget mobos). Overclock and forget about it. You will upgrade incrementally anyways over the 5 + years and get a lot of performance in the mean time.

I rarely keep any computer over 3 years, so if it makes it that far, its good enough.
