I'll agree. However, even with the CPU lasting 5+ years, don't expect the system as a whole to make it that long. I have found that the most likely weak link is your mobo (especially with budget mobos). Overclock and forget about it. You will upgrade incrementally anyways over the 5 + years and get a lot of performance in the mean time.
