I just bought a new motherboard (GA-EP45-UD3R). A new video card (HD 4850). And new RAM (GSKILL DDR2 1066). My CPU is an E6300 from back when the first came out with the C2D. And my PSU is a 350w that came with a case, it has the 6-pin power connector for the graphics card. It also has the newer 24 pin power connector for the motherboard. And it has the other single 4pin motherboard conenctor.

Now, when I try to overclock the CPU, it wont go anything over about 2.0 ghz. I know the E6300 has more than that. After I set it in the bios the PC restarts, and then around the time it normally boots windows, but before I see the windows loading screen, it reboots again and the mobo cuts the cpu back to the normal freq.

Does this sound like a power issue? Or could it be something else im doing wrong.

Notes:
BIOS - F6 (latest version)
