Hi I'm failry new to Overclocking and am just a little worried so I was hoping I could get a few questions answered. :)

I'm runnind a P5W DH Deluxe have it OC'ed to 3.5 1:1 ratio. 9 multiplier, and when I run 3dmark06 or Orthos they stop responding. My Load temps are at 69C Idle around 55C.

Are these temps too hot? I'm water cooling with the Nautilus 500. I re did NB/SB on my mobo and put on good paste.

Thanks a lot for the help in advance.

That is rather hot. 55c on water?

If someone said they had that on air, idle, I would assume that their cooler is on wrong, because even the stock coolers idle in the 30s.

When things idle in the 40s, there is usually a problem, but for 55c idle?? Unless its really hot in yer place, it shouldn't be near that!

Also, you should list all yer specs, and when listing a CPU over clock, list the relevant info as well, Loaded VCore @ whatever speed, and idle windows and Bios voltages.

I would say the same thing, its not on correctly, so remove the CPU block, and look to see if the past is evenly spread on both surfaces, providing you only applied it to one surface first.

If its not evenly spread, thats about as good an indication that it wasn't on right!

what components are you cooling. I agree, that system with cpu only shouldnt have that kind of trouble unless theres something else you are cooling.
