.....mine at 34 degrees....stock cooler..

34 degrees is quite low for a stock cooler, it should be higher than than. Mine was at 39-43 degrees on idle even with a E6300.

I have an E6600 on an Asus P5B Deluxe WiFI board, and is OC's to 3.2GHz using (imo) the best Zalman CNPs9700 cooler for mine, and temsp idle in the mid 30's, and max under full load around 57C

RichPLS, can you please email me some screenshots of your bios with your exact configuration? I can´t make my system stable...

TAT idle -> 33ºc / 35ºc
TAT full -> 70ºc / 75ºc

E6600
p5b-deluxe WiFi bios v.1004
corsair DDR2 2x1024mb pc6400 (800mhz)

help me please... tanks!!!

What matters more if your load temperature.
Run TAT and check your CPU temp with Speedfan or CoreTemp. Below 60deg C you are ok

Just got a e6600 with a zalman 9700 together. Att stock clocking with he zalman on lowest rpm i get 29-31c idle and 45-46c load via tat.

I would recommend the Tuniq Tower 120 if you are able to find them and it is in your price range. It is an incredible heat sink. Installation is not that bad compared to lots of other high end hsf. With ambient temps of around 21C in my house i idle at about 32-34C and Load 46-50C. Yea i know my house stays kind of warm. Well not really the whole house just the particular room my computer sits in. Rig components are in sig.

Guys, I see far too many posts where temperatures are being tossed around like apples and oranges thermal fruit salad. I can't overemphasize enough the need to be specific, and make it clear as to which set of C2D temps (Tcase / CPU die, or Tjunction / Core 0 & Core 1) you're refering. Although you may have the 15c difference straight in your own head, that doesn't mean the next user, or the OP does. This is exactly why the community is so very confused about C2D temps. Please, when posting, take the time to make a few extra key strokes to clarify your temps.

asdfweee and Stefx, check out the following Sticky for info regarding proper temps, testing and monitoring:

Hope this helps,

same cpu,same zalman I also get pretty much the exact same temps ( core0/core1) plus or minus 2c depending how warm I have the house.

I'm using the stock cooler on the e6600 though I have removed the thermal pads and pasted on some AS5. I get around 35/40C both cores idle with a room temperature of 20C or less. Using TAT and no over clocking.

Come summer time where I am this room goes above 40C with a killer humidity factor. With that in mind can somebody recommended a great Heatsink Fan Cooler to replace my Intel stock HSF before it becomes critical.
