[SOLVED] E6600 + gtx 1050ti

I have my old e6600 cpu and id like to know if my pc can run if i partner it in gtx 1050ti. Id probably buy a new cpu so im gonna use it just for awhile. Can any harm done in my computer if i do that?

No harm, but don't think you'll be able to play any AAA title as the bottleneck would be large making it unplayable anyways.

Before just going out and buying a GTX 1050ti... What's the model of your motherboard?

Newer 10 and 20 series NVIDIA cards are missing legacy BIOS support for older hardware, such as your LGA775 motherboard. There's a chance it might work and there's a chance your system won't POST with the 1050ti.

Also what PSU do you currently have in your system? Are you planning to keep it after the platform upgrade(that's why I'm asking the first question)?

Agh! I forgot about this really good point. Be sure whatever card you have can boot bios or uefi.
