E8400 @ 4ghz on Asus P5Q Pro, need help with voltages

From the picture you should be able to see pretty much everything you need to know to help me out. Currently the only voltages I have set are 2.1 for my dram and 1.25 for my vcore everything else is set to auto in the bios. I'm just wondering if its safe to run it like this? I'm not sure how to tell what my other voltages are running at while under auto. Also does anyone know what the vin1 and vin3 voltages are in cpuid hardware monitor??

You won't know until you stress test.

Have you tried putting load on the CPU? Use Prime95 or Intel Burn Test.

I had it run with Prime95 for about 6 hours without any issues. 54 degrees under load.

the pic i posted was taken while prime95 was runnin.

Run Prime95 for 24 hours and you will know. If it has no errors or doesn't crash, I'd say you are doing just fine.

Considering you already passed 6 hours, I would say you have a good chance anyway.

I'm just worried that with other voltages set to auto that it maybe over compensating and using more volts then needed. is there any way to see what its using for the other voltages while the computer is running???

Some motherboards offer, their own software that can display multiple voltages, my EVGA X58 has Eleet Utility that shows all the adjustable voltages. However most don't. You should boot into the BIOS, some motherboard will display the current value, next to the adjustable value.

This is part of the reason why, most overclocking guides, tell you to manually set all voltages to their lowest default value. Then start to overclock from there.

I say u dont have anything to be worried as long as your PC is stable with your current dram and vcore voltage. 54 degree under load at 4GHz is quiet good, mine reach 61/61 degree MAX under load.
