Hi. I have a problem with my cpu e8500 whitch should be working on 1333 FSB speed. My motherboard max FSB speed is 1066 but it can support 1333 by overclocking. When i installed processor the motherboard downgraded speed to 2.4 ghz without overclocking. I tried to overclock it, but I managed only to 2.8 ghz. When i tried to go ever higher it just do back to 2.53 Ghz. In bios i also have option to automatic made 1333 FSB speed but when i save that and restart computer it just go back to 2.53 ghz. I am not expert in overclocking and maybe im doing something wrong. I really dont know. A help would be appreciated.

I did it. After i did that i tried to set the o.c 1333 duo core option in bios but after restart it went back to 2.53ghz. I didnt try to manually set speed but i think that wouldnt work either.

Somehow i made it. Now its working on 3.16 Ghz. I changed voltage from 2.25 to 2.3 and now i have ram on 500 Mhz. Is that ok? Becouse max ram speed for my board is 667. I have option to multiple to 1.5(500Mhz) 2.0 (677Mhz) and 2.5(800 Mhz) and auto. But it only work on 500 Mhz.

Ok here.
DRAM Frequency: 250Mhz
FSB:DRAM 4:3
Slot 1: 2048 MBytes
Frequency: JEDEC #1-266Mhz, JEDEC #2-333Mhz, JEDEC #3-400Mhz
Slot 2: 2048 MBytes
Frequency: JEDEC #1-200Mhz, JEDEC#2-266Mhz, JEDEC#3-400Mhz.
I dont know is this what you asked for. Also its important to say that i have 4 gb ram but only 3.25 usable. But i think that is another problem.

There's no manufacturer and part number for those modules? The different modules that you use probably prevent running them faster when the CPU is overclocked; I'd test at a frequency closer to 400 MHz using only one module to determine which one may cause issues. You'll never get close to 4 GB usable with a motherboard limited to 4 GB total.

I have manifacturer on 1 ram stick (Nanya Technology). I dont have reall problems. Also when i try to enable O.C for dual core option in bios it brings memory to 400 Mhz. .But because that option did not work(it just go back to 2.53 Ghz), I had to do the manual oveclock and its stable only on 500 Mhz. I dont have crashes and everithing is working fine. Im even playing gta 5 lol. If i must change the ram to work on 667 Mhz i will do it, but if its not necessary i will leave it like this.

Ok... Hi again. After month of gaming something happened. All of the suden i have high temps 68-70 °C with no usage at all. Also 100% cpu usage. Is my cpu dead? Also in bios it shows temp of 43 °C but on every program on windows 68°C?? I tried to downclock on 2.53. Also cpu vent speed at max.
