hi this is where im at the moment i got to 4.8ghz with an e8600 1.46vcore and 1.34vtt/fsb 1.34mch/nbridge

the trouble is that even with a small change to say 5ghz or even 4.9 it wont prime for longer than 20mins even with a vcore of 1.55, and vtt of 1.45 and mch of 1.4.

any sujestions?, also i got phase change so dont ask about temps all i know is there arround -30 because the sensor doesnt work below 0C.

do you think i should mess arround with the gtl ref?.

also i had a e8400 running at 510fsb so i know the mobo/mem can handle it.

Well the mobo and RAM may be able to handle a 510 fsb, but it seems that your E8600 doesn't like it. Just because the E8600 is a higher model number, it doesn't mean that it will OC better than an E8400. Tom's just had an article where a i7 920 could OC higher than an i7 extreme, if i recall correctly. Too lazy to look it up, but more expensive parts do not mean a higher OC.

Your no NOOB, what's with the stupid questions?

OF course you need to set the GTL's, vcore 1.65v or so, mch 1.5v, vtt is up to you (some 45's like it, some blow up).
