Sounds interesting. I wonder if the phones can handle it properly though. I am going to have to check out the page and see if they list minimum specs.

EA is trying to regain their title from Activi$ion as the most hated publisher. They are almost there IMO. If you add this shit to the Origin/Forum account bans and the Origin is a spyware thingy...

[citation][nom]cronik93[/nom]MORE AK-47's FOR EVERYONE!?!?![/citation]
No, this time... EA just jumping on the bandwagon with "free to play" games and trying to milk the last possible $ out of a franchise that they destroyed.

[citation][nom]__-_-_-__[/nom]EA killed C&C when they bought and destroyed Westwood. I boycott EA since then.[/citation]

Agreed. Ever since Westwood was bought out by EA, the C&C series died. Still kicking it with the original Red Alert and Tiberian Sun. Still playing my Dune games too.

I had hopes that the newest entry for C&C might reboot to its roots branching from Bioware, but then I read this line "Bioware Victory: Its general manager is Jon Van Caneghem from Trion Worlds."

Can I get an item shop please with my tanks? *sarcasm*

Command & Conquer has been a shadow of its former self for a long time now. Weakened and on life support but we couldn't help but hope for a miracle and for C&C to get up and be as great as it once was. This however did not happen and its time to accept reality. I tried my best to keep hopeful but alas I can no longer. Goodbye Command & Conquer.

P.S. Screw you EA.

C&C died after Red Alert. Emperor Battle for Dune..!?!? Really!?!? 3D garbage and not only that, gameplay/network was sh#$.

Red Alert was the sht, it had tons of units to play, map editor and was humorous to play against a neighbor, only to have your parents d/c your @$$ and find out that you're hogging up the modem. If they just revamp Red Alert and make the resolution to 1920x1080 with some improvements, I'm sure everyone would get in on that.

RTS genre died in the 90s. Too many games asking for a war and now that we're in one, we make goofy applets on phones like Alligator Bath and Angry Birds :/

Strategy games that I enjoyed back in the day:

Total Annihilation (with expansions)
Dark Colony
Command & Conquer Gold Edition
Command & Conquer Red Alert
KKND (Krush, Kill and Destroy)
KKND2: Krossfire
Dune 2000 (sort of, was too slow for action/fun)
Starcraft
Dominion: Storm Over Gift 3

There were more but I vaguely recall as they weren't as fun as the ones above that I collected.

If it's f2p, it will probably make two class of players...

Non-paying nerfed people and OP paying people.

As an MMO they could charge monthly fees.

Or have microtransactions...

Want something to counter that rush? Pay now!

I can imagine the next headline...

"EA sells French gov't Command and Conquer branded white flags"

:p

Surely you cant forget the awesomeness of RTS followup "sequel" titles Supreme Commander (and although to a lesser extent Supreme Commander 2)?! Not to mention Sins of a Solar Empire?! Great RTS titles. Also Battle For Middle Earth was pretty decent though less scale, fun to play. RTS has always been my favorite genre for great gaming. Alas there arent many studios that want to crank out another one because FPS titles are so easily rehashed into another title they can sell. It is like printing money. Looking right at you COD/MW franchise!!!

I hold out hope, but if StarCraft 2 is the best they can do, we are doomed for complete failure.
