Earphones mic not working on pc

I gave my Headphones for replacement a few days ago and as it would take a long time to arrive, I bought a pair of Xiaomi Earphones with a mic. The Earphones and the mic are working perfectly fine on my phone but on the pc my mic isn't getting registered or detected. The Earphones are working fine on the pc. My software and bios are up to date. Please help!

I can tell you why... The connectors are different. In your phone you have a combined mic and headphone connector, while these are two connectors on your pc. If you plug in your new earphones in the mic connector on your pc the mic should work but the headphones wont.

Is there no other way around this? I still have my audio jack to usb cable that arrived with my headphones, will that work?

if the 3.5 mm connect ro usb or the earphone have a direct usb that shoul work could you give full name and model of it since there are many ones around .

The headphones: Hyper X cloud 2

Yes, you have to use the USB connection for mic and headphone usage on a pc. The 3.5 is for mobile divices.
