Can you recommend the easiest, best option for comprehensive computer backup with the following requisites?


Essentially I would like something that’s


  • Automatic, and

  • uses both the “full system image” method, and the “files backup” method.


I’d like it always doing it’s thing without me ever having to be involved unless something crashes and I need it.



It would be nice if it was hardware based, i.e.- massive local drives that get the backups cycled from whatever program controls the backup routine, but if that’s not the way to go, then ok.

I have used Acronis for many years. Macrium is the other popular software here.

Not sure what you mean there.

I use Macrium Reflect.
