Easiest Smart TV for elderly

Hello there!

I am looking for a Smart TV for an elderly person (who has a lot of difficulties with technology) that has the following features:
  1. Has a built-in decoder/satellite input (she watches German YV as well as local TV)
  2. Be as easy to use as possible (ideally a TV that allows a "simplified mode" would be ideal, but I don't think there are any... at least have an interface that is as user-friendly as possible, just as it must be easy to switch from digital terrestrial TV to satellite TV to any smart functions).
  3. With a simple remote control. Ideally, however, it should also have the numeric keypad, which she is used to (I have seen models that oversimplify by eliminating it).
  4. With integrated Alexa (which she uses at home), which could perhaps be easier for video/music searches.
These are the main features: the really important thing is that it is as SIMPLE as possible.
The budget could also be around 400-500 $, to allow for decent quality in a 43".
I have tried to do extensive research on the web but have found nothing (lots of websites that just report only useless generalities).
Thank you for any suggestions!!!

Thank you! Roku TV, which is built-in in that TCL model, seems very good, but unfortunately it hasn't arrived in Italy yet (we live there). I had already seen the other models in that guide, but I'm not so conviced of them.

Maybe a Smart TV with Google TV system could be a solution, as it can be a bit "simplified" (example), but I thin that's still not the best solution.

One of these might meet your needs:

I came across via this review link: https://www.pcguide.com/tv/guide/best-for-seniors/

I tried to modify the Google TV's interface as described in the linked guide on another device I have but it's definitely not so good...

As far as roku, get a roku stick that has the voice remote, hook it to a standard TV set and set that set to go to wherever hdmi input the roku is on every time it turns on. That would get you most of the benefits. A fire TV wouldn’t be bad either. My in laws in their 60s use a fire stick just pin their main apps at the top of the home screen.

Personal preference here I don’t like smart TVs. Don’t get me wrong we use a fire stick all the time and a roku in a different room. Even if I get a smart TV I don’t connect them to the internet.

Case in point, a friend of mine has a roku TV that started going out. He was going to throw out the TV. I helped him factory reset the TV and have it always go to a certain input where we hooked up a normal roku player. He’s still using the TV today. I think he changed the roku for one of the newer chromecasts, but 2-3 years later still has the TV. If I remember right at the time the TV would stop playing during shows and just having issues. Once we bypassed the smart functions of the TV it’s been happy.
