[SOLVED] Easiest way to reinstall win 10 on locked out laptop

Probably a classic dilemma. Ex has changed the log in password to a win 10 laptop. I am happy to do do a fresh win 10 install and start over. I can get it to boot to USB. I also don’t wish to buy any software to do this. What is the easiest option? Win 10 is on the machine, verified copy etc. Of course I don’t have any of those details – just the computer. I just want to nuke the machine, and her, and move on with my life with a fresh win 10 install. Suggestions?

Create Windows 10 installation media on a USB stick:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

Insert the stick and boot the machine. When prompted for the destination choose custom and remove all partitions. Then let the installation proceed from there. We cannot and will not discuss how to bypass any passwords.

excellent and thanks. I would not expect advice or discussion on how to bypass passwords. agreed. I can reinstall all of my software from an image that I made. I just needed to get back into my laptop! This will do. Thanks
