Easiest way to transfer all data on my 500gb to my new 3TB?

I will be getting a new 3TB barracuda 7200 RPM HDD for my computer here in about a week and want to transfer everything from my 500 gb WD HDD to this new HDD. My OS isnt on this drive so that should make it easier right? MY OS is on my 60gb SSD. Can i just copy paste everything since there's no OS stuff to worry about? I have all my steam games, documents, pictures, music etc on this 500 gb drive that i want to transfer over(Everything basically)

Yes, it should be straight forward. If you are concerned that some hidden files from Steam might not transfer you could use cloning software so that everything is transferred. I use Reflect's free version ( not sure if they have a pay version! ) to clone OS drives and it works perfectly.
