Hello Folks! :bounce:

I have a Belkin KVM switch (model F1DZ104T) that is capable of using PS/2-based or USB-based kvm-cables. Although, for the console it only allows PS2 connections. So far I have been using PS/2-based kvm-cables but I want to start using USB-based kvm-cables.
The manual mentions a USB-based cable made by Belkin (model F3X1962-06), which has been discontinued. :/

Question :
1) Is the USB portion of the cable in a USB-based kvm-cable the same as a regular non-kvm usb-cable? I already have a few individual VGA cables and regular usb-cables, and was wondering if I could use them instead of buying new usb-based kvm-cables.

Thanks for the help. :wahoo:

Solution
It has to be to work at all, USB2 has only 4 contacts/wires, 2 for power (5v) and one each for data in and out. Without data connectors it would be good only for charging and without power pins nothing would work.
Thank you CountMike for your help.
Are you saying that the USB portion of the cable in a USB-based kvm-cable is the same as a regular non-kvm usb-cable?
