ecs g31t-m7 won't send video signal out not even with pci gpu

Custom built tower for my grandma's runescape addiction... worked fine for 3 years or so then all of a sudden no signal to the monitor. I installed a known working graphics card and no signal there either. What could it be?

Have you tried new signal cable?
Different monitor?

Until you try the above you'll get nowhere fast. Both very basic (and very obvious) troubleshooting steps to start with.
