ECS K8M890M-M Network Problem

Hey everyone. I have an ECS K8M890M-M that does not connect to the internet anymore through my router. Vista can not find the problem and it showed that the Network controller was working properly. I tried to uninstall the network adapter and now I can't get it back to install. Vista doesn't find it and I downloaded the Via drivers from the ECS website, but that doesn't install.

Is there anything else I can do? Does anyone know what the problem is?

I know when i had an ECS board (2 years ago lol) the problem was with the hardware firewall. See if disabling the integrated firewall helps...

Also check whether vista's firewall is allowing you to get connected to the internet or not.If no it might be a problem with vista (as usual),you should try some other operating system.If incase it doesn't work visit the support sysytem website of microsoft I read it while trying to realize what your problem is.You would definitely get out of it.

Hi, Thank you for your help guys. I tried taking off the firewall, but it still does no connect. Is it possible that the Network controller is bad?

Also when I try to set up a new connection, vista asks for an IP and password, but my router/internet service does not require this.

The son's wireless laptop connects without a problem.
