I have a Pana CW230 projector, it's nvidia 3d vison supported, so I exported it's EDID data with Monitor asset manager, and I exported the EDID too under Nvidia quadro control panal (it exports txt format) looks like this: http://nvidia.custhelp.com/rnt/rnw/img/ ... 867_02.png
The plan is to use the CW230's INF file for CW331 projectorts because the 331 is officially not nvidia supported and I have to use this type.
After I updated the cw230's INF in device manager and restarted the system is seemed it worked, but not....
Under device manager the windows thinks there is a CW230 projector instead of CW331, but under nvidia control panel... it still shows the CW331.

Where can I find a decent overview about EDID override. It just a few steps in device manager or something more difficult? I found writes about registry modifications an so on. Can I find a step by step article? After a short try it wasn't success because under Nvidia control panel I found the old display type, I guess the HDMI transmits info's between the display and the system, so changeing the INF wont be enough.
gtx780ti, vision (not vision 2), win 7 64bit, latest nvidia driver, HDMI cabels.
The PC working fine with the CW230 and nvidia emitter, but with cw331 no emitter option under control panel just the 3DTV. the pc is the same in both cases just the display has changed. it seems if emitter is not installed correctly but working fine with other display.

You are the first that I see that has that projector to try the override, can you share your inf, so I can try in mine, and I'll let you know how it goes. Currently I override with the Acer 5360 and works fine, but the special with this projector you have is go beyond the 720p, thanks.
