Question Edifier speaker volume control issue

i have the edifier m1380 2.1 speakers.. when i try to adjust the volume from volume knob control it either turns left or right channel on/off sometimes more volume on left and less on right, vice versa sometimes static or popping sounds. i try to keep a level set on knob and adjust from the os volume controls for now.. how can i fix this so i can control from the volume knob instead?

Sounds like there is an issue with the controller, contact Edifier support.
