Sorry, i think i had posted this thread in the wrong area earlier.

Hey, I'm Dylan and i have recently been looking into building my own computer but i have no experience in it and it would just be great if i could get some positive feedback from others. I have all my parts picked out but what seems to be my biggest problem is picking out a good SSD because i want to run all of my OS programs on that while having my 1tb drive for gaming, music, documents, etc. I really need to know if a 24gb slc SSD would be enough to run all the main programs for windows 7.

In addition, if you guys could look over my parts just to make sure that im not buying things that are not compatable even though i am 90% sure they are it would mean a lot to me if you could.

-Note i was told that SSD SLC run faster then the MLC but others are telling me the bigger the SSD the faster it is. Professional guidance would be really helpful with choosing the right SSD. (It wasn't stated but i want to run my OS and Anti-Virus on my SSD because thats how i was told to ensure PC performance)

I do not want to end up buying the wrong items and or not having all the parts needed. Feedback would be much appreciated. Approximately how many SATA cords do i need and is that all i need including with my CDRom. And if there are any other essentials i would really love to know as i said before this is my first time constructing my own Computer.

My links were not working earlier but i checked them and they are good. I really need confirmation on these parts it would make my day.

I want to run my TV as my monitor it is a 1080p Full hd Vizio. Not sure if that is needed to suit my build

I am not too good with computers so ill do my best. Budget is around 1200-1400 with all the casing and eccentials. What is overclocking and SLI/Crossfire? If it is useful them yeah i would like to be able to do that but if it goes over my budget no. Im getting a Internal blue ray/CDrom but i am mainly starting straight from scratch. I have the rest of my spec sheet with links to the parts i plan on buying on the 18-19 so i really need help. Sorry if im not sure what you are talking about when you say certain things.

Also what do you mean by APU rig?

the a10 5800k is a apu meaning low end CPU + medium graphics = budget gaming rig. you are definitely not going cheap on this build so a APU makes no sense with a gtx 680

not worth getting SLC ssds. they are generally for server applications where you write data to it all the time. MLC has shorter lifespan (still way more than what you need it for)but are cheaper

i also hope that you actually watch blu-rays because optical media is dying pretty fast

-128gb ssd should be enough for the os and important apps and games. the rest goes on the hard drive
-7950 is much better value wise
-you dont need anything else. the motherboard has sata cables and the psu is ready to be powering your hardware. 750w is stupid overkill
-remove top hard drive cage to fit the video card
