Not very computer savy. I have a computer with an Intel i7-2600 @ 3.4Ghz on an INTEL DH67CL motherboard with 16 GB Ram and a Nvidia Geforce GTX 970 card.

I want to edit with Premiere Pro and/or Avid MC. Whats the best thing to do, new computer, upgrade?

Advice welcome! Cheers
By the way I'm in Denmark.
Yours
Jonathan

Ha, I see the issue now, you can not do editing on an HDD, just way too slow :) Your CPU/GPU is still decent, so I suggest you get an SSD first and migrate your OS to SSD, and you should see a huge performance improvement for editing. For example, 250 gb Samsung EVO 850 SSD for <$100. How to: https://www.howtogeek.com/97242/how-to-migrate-windows-7-to-a-solid-state-drive/ If you feel the speed is not good enough, we can find a good upgrade path for you. If you really want a completely new build (except HDD, case), let me know.

I think its an Aero Cool V3X case, single Hitachi HTS541010A9E680 HDD (1.81 TB), no SSD - some other HDD attached by USB. Win 10 Pro. 16GB RAM. Intel i7-2600 @ 3.4Ghz on an INTEL DH67CL motherboard with 16 GB Ram and a Nvidia Geforce GTX 970 card.

Need more?
