Edition Confusion ?

Hi guys,

I am buying a desktop pc. Its a pentium d processor with great graphics and sound card.

i wanna use it for programming, games and tv. I am confused as to which edition of windows xp i should go for.

I want to choose between Windows XP Pro or Windows xp media center edition.

what do u think i should do ? will there be a big difference between the above 2 editions. I am not a hardcore tv watches but i do watch it like once a day.

so any suggessions ??

I would say go for the Media Center Edition. It includes most of the features that Professional does but I think it doesn't allow you to connect to domains, not completely sure though. But for what you described it sounds like you are needing more of a media center.
