Eee PC 1005HAB RAM not dectecting

So I managed to find some ram that works with the eee pc. But now it's only detecting 1GB out of the 2GB stick. When I go into the BIOS nothing has changed, and nothing seems to work to fix it. I saw on another thread that you had to force it to see the extra memory, but I don't know how to do that.

"On start up press and tap the F2 key to open up the BIOS. When the BIOS screen opens choose the save & exit option. When your system restarts you will now see the full 2GB of memory installed."

See if that forces it to recognize the other stick of RAM.
