I am thinking about getting a Black Magic Pocket Cinema camera. It has a 4/3 Lens mount. However, the lenses I will be using from my school are canon EF and EF-S mounts. They are APC-S and full frame. If I got a lens mount adapter...

What affect will it have on the image?

How much will it cost?

May I have an example of a budget mount that will suit my needs? Thanks!

Because the adapter contains the optical components, you should expect the potential for quality loss, from B&H user review and the specifications, the adapter is pretty good. I don't how much loss, you may find the review, because I don't try to find it yet.

Check the linker for the price ( about $500) if you are in USA. https://www.keh.com/shop/video-general-metabones-adapter-canon-eos-ef-to-black-magic-pocket-camera-speed-booster-ef-bmpcc.html
Or B&H for over $600

If you have to buy that camera, I guess you need it for the 4K video, may consider to buy the lens too. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/accessories/Cine-Lenses-for-blackmagic_design_pocket_cinema_camera_4k/1401512-REG-90462?from=detail

Or maybe look for something else for the 4K video.

I have actually decided to go for an FD adapter and buy lenses. They are quite cheap due to age. What are your thoughts? I don't need 4k, I just liked the bigger sensor compared to the older 2013 model. What are the other differences?
