So i got a new case, assembled everything as shown in the case and motherboard manuals. Initially when i booted the computer, it started and ran for a couple of seconds and then turned off again. I replugged everything and this time it worked. However, when it boots it goes straight to the EFI shell screen. I checked a couple of threads to see if i had plugged something in incorrectly but that doesn't seem to be the issue. When i wrote 'exit' and hit enter in the EFI screen, it booted up bios. In the bios screen it said that the SATA ports are not present. Could it be that i broke something? I'm a total noob when it comes to computers. My specs are:
Msi z97 pc mate motherboard
Intel i-7 4790k
Strix gtx 970
2 ram sticks of 8gb, they are hyperX not sure which ones though.
Thanks in advance. I will notify if i get the problem fixed and how in the meantime.

Oh and also, my GPU fans only run for about a second on startup and then stop. Could i have busted my graphic card while i removed it as i was dismantling the old case?
