Hello everyone!
I am looking for some help regarding the use of an eGPU on my latitude e6440.
It is the I7 4610m (3.0Ghz boost to 3.7Ghz)
8Gb Ram DDR3
AMD Radeon HD 8690m 1Gb GDDR5
Question is, is it possible to use an eGPU on this PC? And if so, can you give me recommendations as I am a noob in eGPU building and stuff. Maybe give me the components i need or a whole set, i've seen people seeling their eGPU-s but i just dont wanna risk buying something that wont work on mine, i am on a pretty tight budget too, would be nice to fit into 200, maybe 300$.
Thanks in advance, waiting for your Tips!

Solution
The laptop's motherboard has a socket for the CPU, but the GPU is soldered to the motherboard. So, no - you can't change out the GPU. Good luck with the eGPU.
Here's a article to read to get you going: https://www.pcworld.com/article/2984716/laptop-computers/how-to-transform-your-laptop-into-a-gaming-powerhouse-with-an-external-graphics-card.html. Generally, these are difficult to do. You'll need to crack open your laptop and make sure a card slot is open/available. Most likely, it's not going to meet your budget.
