[SOLVED] egpu for old laptop

I have Acer Aspire 5583 NWXMI with spec :
Intel core duo processor T5500
Intel GMA 950
2 GB ram
Can I use egpu and what gpu so my cpu is not getting bottleneck?

Looks like it has a ExpressCard slot, so you could in theory make a DIY eGPU. That would involve getting a GPU, PCI express adapter and an external PSU. And with those specs on the laptop, honestly i don't think it would be worth it.

What where you planning to game on it anyway`?

A couple of old total war game and probably Victoria 2

Honestly i can not really recommend bothering with this for several reasons.

First of all, you are running XP on this laptop? Win 7 at best?` On win 7 probably you would get a eCPU to work. On XP, i doubt it is possible.

Second, dropping around 100$ on a eGPU on this laptop is a waste of money. If you are in US, better put that 100 bucks towards a new laptop. For 300 you could get something like this which would run those game with no problem and then some.
