[SOLVED] eGPU for tb2?

So my friend has an ROG G75VW with a 660m, he wants to build a pc but he doesnt have the money so i suggested an eGPU. So he has a thunderbolt 2 port but from what ive seen there's not many thunderbolt 2 eGPU's for gaming, only tb3. so i was wondering if there are any that he can use... his pc has an i7-3610QM at 2.3ghz but he might oc to 3.2 or so, he needs something that is kind of cheap too

An "adapter" for this is useless.
Performance depends on the slowest device int he chain.

If there were such an adapter, it would simply run at TB2 speed. Negating any GPU performance.
