So, my laptop is a Dell Latitude E6520 (i7 2640M, 8GB, NVS 4200M, 250GB SSD) and it has a 54mm expresscard slot according to Dell's website. I want to use an eGPU via Expresscard, but the only adapters I see are expresscard 34mm. Is expresscard 34mm compatible with 54mm expresscard slots? Also, does my computer have expesscard 1.0 or 2.0? And can someone explain to me how much of a performance drop/bottleneck there will be when I use expresscard? And also what the speed differences between using mpcie, thunderbolt 3, and expresscard?

But, the mPCIe port on my laptop is being used up by my wifi card. That's why I'm using ExpressCard.

Well, the link works on my end. You're welcome to do a search for the product I linked to : "V8.0 EXP GDC Laptop external independent video card dock"

Frankly, worrying about the interface being the bottle neck on a non-gaming laptop shouldn't be a priority. There is no good, low cost solution for what you're asking to do. You still need a graphics card and power supply to run it with. In the end, would it be more cost effective to just build a low end gaming rig around something like a Ryzen 3 2200G or even a Ryzen 5 2400G? Likely better performance for similar price. If you think the GPU dock is going to be conveniently portable, it's not.

If you want a good solution to external graphics attached to a laptop, you are looking at Thunderbolt and a proper external enclosure, and the cost of going that route is very prohibitive.

I currently have a GTX 670 and a monitor and if I need to buy a power supply and a expresscard adapter then it'll total around to $75-110. I guess it's not really an efficient solution, but I'm trying to push my laptop to it's limits with performance. Also, does this one work:
