Anyone have experience how L557 does in games - especially fast one like quake ? and also how in movies ? can the display be used as TV ? Thanks!

I have L557 for a month now. I tried fast games (UnrealTournament,NHL2004,NFS,Star Wars Galaxies) and it performs perfect for me. Movies are cool too.
Before L557 i had a CRT 15" and don`t wanna to go back to CRT technology.

As for TV.. if you will connect a tv tuner to it it should work (quality depends on tv tuner).
I use Nvidia drivers which have support for LCD, graphic card always send picture in 1280x1024 to LCD and it looks very good for me even when game itself runs on 640x480 or 800x600 🙂

I too, am interested in the L557, but I have a different need. I am looking for a monitor with a wide viewing angle--especially from below--and the specs for this model indicate that it has a 170 viewing angle, both horizontal and vertical. Does anybody have this model and able to attest to the accuracy of its viewing angles?

What is the response time? I can't find it anywhere. Not eve on Ezio's website. Don't they know that's all anybody cares about these days?

hi, i saw the monitor in shop and the viewing angle cant be better, also the colors are very clear so hopefuly i wud be able to do a bit of photoshop on it. The 16ms one is 18bit panel. I'm getting l557 today if they still have it so i can write you how it is then. But basically i havn't heard wrong word about it. Shud raelly have best image quality. 25ms seemed bit too much to me but video and desktop stuff shud be okay. and games hm..prolly wont be noticable on racers and such. i'll risk the quake cos i need these wide angels, but one guy told me quake is just fine on it. he also said soccer games are not soo good. hope this helps a bit. well if i get one today, i will write you some review.
