electric or static shock?*worried*

Hey Im 14 and built my computer I turned it on to test and it worked now it tirned it of and pressed the button to withdraw any power last night about 5mins ago I opned the case and I accidentally touched a molar power connector and I got a shock im not sure if it was static or not but my hand felt a bit tingly any way ithe power cord was still in my psu but the switch was off im a bit worried will any thing happen?

You're fine and I would expect that your computer parts are fine too. Even inside a live powered on case, unless you mess with the PSU insides, 12V is the top voltage although it can be at pretty high current. You are more likely to damage the computer than yourself. In any case, just discharge your PSU in the future by unplugging and then pushing the power on button.

You should not be touching the pins of Molex connectors or the metal parts of any connectors, that is how static will kill electronics; you hold things carefully by the edge and make sure you do discharge static by touching the metal of the case before any parts.

Yes, even when off the PSU capacitors retain power unless you unplug the PSU *and* turn on the power switch after unplugging to discharge remaining capacitor charge.

Thanks alot feel much better now thought I was gunna have a heart attack or something as I have anxiety you see so I think im having a stroke or heart attact keep on mind im on 14
