Hello
It seems for some reason I'm having elec. interference.
When my washing machine is turned on and working my pc which is working at the same time is giving me some faint buzzing sound, from inside of pc case.
I have old electrical installation im my home and both these machines eats lots of watt.
My power supply is chieftec gps-550a 550W
Is it something potentially dangerous to my pc? It works just normal when washing machine is turned off.

Oh i was thinking that chieftec are rather good PSU..
anyway does adding an UPS to my pc would eliminate this interference?

Everyting in my home works on one and the same elec. installation so other wall sockets won't do any better for washing machine and pc :(
all i can do is to replace old non grounded wall socket with properly grounded one, and place power strip there, now this is connected via 3 extension cords.

As said.....[/quotemsg]

Would that ^ help at all?
It will still be the same circuit that is now, and that washing machine is working on..

Well to think logically - when washing machine is turned on, working like hell and getting about 1500-2000W and my Pc is running at the same time, 550W, the old installation is heavily loaded and drops electricity a bit which causes this slight buzzing sound in my pc, I THINK in PSU (my friend few houses far have issues so his monitor and tv are blinking, also lights on power strips xP)

Well this PSU's have really good opinion in Europe, biggest PC shop in my country sells them from many years and they have average of 9/10 users score, doesn't really popular in NA, the problem is old wiring nothing else as I see.
I will do a grounded socket from my old 2 cable one and maybe it will eliminate interfering because of less cables going to PC.
