Ellipsis 8 Tablet needs rom flashed to get rid of virus??

Hello I have a Verizon Ellipsis 8 Tablet that has got a virus that will not go away, Even after multiple attempts of performing factory Reset.
My device powers on and off with the push of a button, But once powered on has a overwhelming amount of pop ups non stop in addition there are as lot of icons that Iv never seen before like some kind of Asian porn apps is what it looks like and its constantly trying to install apps that are not even on my device, And it randomly powers off and on by its self ?It will not let me set up any thing like my G Mail account and if I'm lucky ill be able to access the internet on it. It's running the kitkat operating system and right before if started messing up there was a OTA ready to update it to the I believe 5.1 or 5.2 Lolipop version ,So along with the pop ups it constantly telling my Needs Update.
Iv tried literally everything to attempt to fix it but nothing had worked.
I believe the only way to save this Tablet is to flash it from what Iv been told, My knowledge on this is very minimal, And it seems a little confusing , However I'm confident that with the right help or lets say a step by step process to on how to do this I could manage this task , I'm just lacking some information on how to do this , If there is anyone out there who is reading this, That could offer me some assistance and info on how to perform this task I would greatly appreciate it .Thank you so much

Are you doing the factory restore with the SD card still installed?
I would also suggest that you do not sign into google and let it reinstall everything all over again. Try setting yourself up as a new user until you figure out if its on the SD card or in your google stored stuff.

Yes I have tried a factory Reset with and without the SD card either way its the same results.
And yes Iv tried using a different gmail account when signing in Despite all the overwhelming pop ups it will let me attempt to sign into my gmail but once all the info is entered I push next and it gives me a message saying error that I need a internet connection, And it has a good internet connection,
I'm not sure if I mentioned this but the tablet is rooted and right around the time it caught a virus Verizon had sent a OTA for the 5.1 Lolipop update . So when the tablet is powered on its constantly reminding me that it needs to be updated along with all the pop ups

well if a virus had root access...
You need someone zip up the rom and get it to you so you can flash to that. The OTA Update will brick it but I've read that Verzion will let you ship it back to them and they will reflash it when it does.

Yes I'm familiar with the OTA and not being compatible , But I'm for sure not familiar with what you mentioned in regards to zipping the ROM ?
Who would normally be able to do something like that ?

I'm over here scratching my head trying to figure out how to just flash the ROM correctly Lol..
I'm open to any suggestions at this point

As I understand; there are no standalone roms available. No one has made the verzion rom available (zip = compress folder like winzip or pkzip), and the OTA update will brick your phone.

IMO< your only hope is to do the OTA update and then get VZ to let you send it in where they will reflash it for you.

You know Iv actually tried on a few occasions to let the update run its course and it will start the initial process but will never finish ?? This tablet once powered on is overwhelmed by pop ups they are constantly coming in so much so that it difficult for me just to navigate to my setting or any other fairly simple operation for that matter, It's really hectic to say the least to do just about anything on it at all.
So the only way to flash it would be to flash it with the VZ ROM ? There is no custom ROM that can be used ? It's just a tablet and if I was not able to update the current OS to Lolipop I would be content with that , It's primary purpose is to look at internet and play games on it .
