emachine with black screen after logo

I have an older emachine that has always worked great until last night. When turned on it went to the e logo, then went black. I have tried several fixes suggesed online. They didn't work. I have tried tapping every F button. Nothing! What can I try next?

Make sure the monitor is working, try it with another computer, or try your computer with a different monitor that you know works.

Did the computer stay turned one or did it shut off? If the fans are running and you see lights, it may be the video card or motherboard.

You can try to reset the BIOS, unplug the system from power and remove the CMOS battery for about 10 seconds, sometimes that fixes startup issues.
