Hello,, I have an eMachines ET-1831-07. System was working fine but I was trying to install a wireless keyboard that was giving me no connection to the computer, so I rebooted. Upon reboot, I got the usual boot beep, then two more short beeps some seconds later. Nothing on the screen, so I was getting no boot into bios. Attempting to find the potential cause I started a basic process of elimination. The motherboard has factory video so I installed a video card, no change, same beeps. It has two sticks of memory, so I removed the ram one stick at a time, boot each time with same results. At this point I'm thinking its the boot drive (I have a backup drive in the case) or the motherboard, tho, I'm not sure if I would get any bios beeps if the board was bad. I'm at the point of pulling the boot drive and testing it. The machine is about 4 years old but I use it infrequently, so it has had relatively low hours in useage. Info and assistance from eMachines is pretty not an option. Warranty expired years ago and it was sold as a reconditioned product. Acer does offer telephone support, but it is costly. Help would be appreciated, Thanks
