being held in Outlook...I can't click on OUTLOOK, cause
when I did that once, it DELEATED EVERYTHING in my
BELLSOUTH INCOMING MAIL ACCOUNT!!! Can anyone help me
figure this out.

Hi Charlene,

Which email client do you want to use? Sending page URL or Attachment via Send button in Internet Explorer generates MAPI call and it means there should be a DLL available for the mail-client (or webmail) which you want to use. Example: Yahoo! provides a ymmapi.dll plugin which can handle the MAPI. So is a DLL for Microsoft Hotmail.

If you wish to set Outlook Express as the default mail client, follow these steps:

Click Start, Run and type the following commands one by one:

%ProgramFiles%\Outlook Express\MSIMN.EXE /REG

regsvr32 "%ProgramFiles%\Outlook Express\msoe.dll"

I am running Windows XP and Office Professional 2003
I recently installed SP 1

Since installing SP 1 frequently get a pop up stating "managed MAPI service
- catatrophic failure -unknown error". I uninstalled SP 1 but the pop up
remains.

I use Sympatico.ca as my ISP and I use Outlook as my mailing system.

Any suggestions?

Thanks
Peter
