Hello,
I just installed Widows 7 after finally ridding myself of Vista Home Premium (which had Windows Mail). I preferred Outlook Express which I had previously. Is it possible to install Outlook Express , and if so, what are the steps required to accomplish that? Detailed info needed, as I'm not too computer literate

Go with Windows Live mail. I had Vista also and upgraded to Windows 7. I wondered what happpened to Windows mail. I had used Outlook for years before Vista. Honestly, Windows Live mail works fine and you can link it to your free hotmail account with no ads within Windows.(with ads on the web)

Provided your ISP is not Comcast, which refuses to support Windows Live Mail. Sorry about that.

I too recently bought a new PC with Windows 7 and was shocked to find that Outlook did not come as standard and where I try to install it from my Microsoft Office disk, it says it's not compatabile with Windows 7 and I've to juse Windows Live Mail.

Does this mean I can't have Outlook at all? Can I still download it from somewhere else if not from the disk I have (bought and paid for legally)? Do I have to pay again to install it?

This is sending me crazy!

I have installed MS-Office 2003 on my Win7Ultimatex64, including Outlook - no problems. But I think MS would rather I buy and install Office 2007.
