Enable backward compatible pc windows 7

Hello,
I am currently running windows 7 64-bit and would like to run software that I had on my old windows xp machine

you right click the program and change the compatability through properties

Yeah, what he said. But that's once you get it installed on your Windows 7 PC. If the software from your old XP machine is 32-bit software, it should run, but you may have to use the Compatibility tab in order to get it to run. 16-bit software won't run on 64-bit Windows at all. Of course you'd have to have the install disks in order to install it on Windows 7.

or you can run a virtual xp

if your hardware supports virtualization
