Windows 10 Build 17063 introduced advanced video playback settings with a new calibration tool that allows you to adjust High Dynamic Range (HDR) video quality.

This tool lets you to dynamically change how HDR videos appear on your PC by giving you options to find a balance between details in dark and bright scenes.

In this tutorial, we will show you how to enable HDR video playback and adjust your display for optimum video quality.

Please note that this option is only available for displays that support HDR video playback.

1. Open The Video Playback Settings
Go to Settings -> Apps -> Video Playback. This will take you to the video playback settings screen.

2. Turn on HDR Video Streaming
Locate the toggle button under Stream HDR Video and switch it to ON. If the toggle button is greyed out, that means that your current display is not optimized for HDR video playback.
