Hi all

I am still new to using my Ryzen 3700X on an Asus X470 Prime Pro mobo and would like to know if I have to enable PBO in the bios and/or use the Ryzen Master Software to try and overclock the cpu as much as I can?

I have 16G DDR4 3000@3200Mhz Corsair Vengeance ram installed.

Thanks!

It's pretty much overclocked as much as it can be already. AMD took care of that for you.

First thing to do is update to latest BIOS... one with 1003abba at least. Then update to AMD's chipset drivers.

Then set in BIOS, under "CPU Features" or "AMD_CBS":
  • Global C-state Control = Enabled
  • Power Supply Idle Control = Low Current Idle
  • CPPC = Enabled
  • CPPC Preferred Cores = Enabled
  • AMD Cool'n'Quiet = Enabled
  • PPC Adjustment = PState 0
Good luck
