Hi all,
I am trying to install Linux Mint 18.1 Cinnamon on Windows 10 Home with VirtualBox.
I mount the ISO and attempt to start the OS. However, an error message pops up saying that AMD-V needs to be enabled in the BIOS.
This is the error message that I receive: http://postimg.org/image/m45xg2dal/
I have looked and looked and I can't find an answer. I am using a Toshiba Satellite L50D-C and I have an AMD A10-8700P processor. (I am pretty sure my processor is compatible with Virtualisation Technology).
I went to System Information and scrolled down do the Virtualisation section: https://postimg.org/image/vj9mw47st/
I noticed that Virtualisation was disabled.
I also tried to go to Settings >> Update & Security >> Recovery >> Advanced Startup
but I couldn't find an option enable Virtualisation.
My question is, how do I enable AMD-V in the BIOS so I can run Linux Mint 18.1 in VirtualBox?
Thanks for any help.
