Enabling DMA?

I have an ATI All-In-Wonder PCI video card that requires DMA enabled for all hard drives and cd-roms. This has a great affect on the perfomance of DVDs and video capture. It is easy to configure in Win9x by selecting the device in the hardware properties, but how I change this in 2000 and XP? Thanks.

Try: "Control Panel".."system".."Hardware".."Device Manager".."IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers"..
"Primary IDE Channel"..("secondary IDE Channel" if used)also "DVD/CD-ROM drives" if available.
In Win2k you must have SR2 installed.
