Ok i have read a bunch of forum posts like this and what im doing should work but it is not and im stuck for ideas.
This is my motherboard
Manufacturer: MSI
Model: FM2-A55M-E33 (MS-7721)
it has an integrated graphics card
AMD Radeon HD 8670D with a memory of 768 MB
And i want to add an graphics card
AMD Radeon HD 8470 with a memory of 1gb
But whenever i plug it in it disables my integrated graphics card all together.
Some of the solutions i have found say that i just need to change the boot menu settings to PEG but that did not work.
Also how can i set the integrated graphics card as my primary graphics card and just use the additional one when I'm gaming or using a CAD program.
Thanks

Normally you dont want to have the Igpu and Dgpu enabled at the same time as it will cause driver conflicts and crash windows. I have tried that with my i7 cpu and I had my two R9 270s in crossfire with 3 displays on the main card and a 4th display on my igpu and my system crashed.

And what you are talking about with having your computer switch GPUs is done on laptops with NVIDIAs Optimus technology. My laptop has it.
Its where when you are on your desktop or web browsing, your computer will use your integrated graphics but as soon as you start playing a game, it will switch over to the dedicated gpu
