I want to enable Secure Boot and TPM 2.0 on my TRX40 Aorus Master, so I can upgrade to Windows 11 (or12?) from Windows 10.
My hardware list:
Motherboard: Gigabyte AORUS Master sTRX40
CPU: AMD Threadripper 3970x
RAM: Hyperx Predator HX432C16PB3K2/32 (8 sticks of 16 GIG RAM)
Cooling: Noctua NH-U14s TR4-SP3 & Noctua NF-A15 PWM fan
Storage: 3 Intel 660P Series M.2 2280 1TBPCie NVMe 3.0 x 4 3D2
Video: ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 2080 Ti
Power Supply: Corsair Professional Series AX 1200
As I understand it, for Win11, hard drives need to be GPT. All 3 M.2 drives are currently MBR,
Supposedly, I just need to run (in Recovery Mode) mbr2gpt /convert to change my M.2 drives from MBR to GPT.
So, does mbr2gpt work on M.2 drives, and is there a drive option, or does mbr2gpt do all drives in one shot?
Do I need to do a backup Just In Case?
Thanks.
